Lucky came to us as a fairly young dog from a high kill shelter – he was surrendered because of seizures, and we loved this sweet and gentle boy when he was in foster care with us.
His seizures were very, very difficult to control, even with excellent vet care and some really good medications. He was fortunate enough to find a home with a kind and generous family who understood that this gentle boy deserved a loving home in spite of his disability. His mama let us know this morning, and it broke our hearts.
We know that his family gave him the best days of his life. This is what she told us –
“We’re heartbroken – we loved him so much. He was the sweetest little dog, and such an amazing blessing for us. We adoped him right after our son was in a terrible accident, and Lucky was such a source of strength and comfort for all of us.”
